Tencent opened its 2027 campus recruiting on August 11, and AI product manager is one of six AI-native roles on the list. But the same announcement quietly rewrote the hiring standard — proactively find and define problems, evaluate and verify AI output, turn ability into visible results — and not one of those three clauses is about large-model technology. They apply to all five job families, not just the AI PM role. Zhilian's July report puts AI PM demand up 87.7% year over year, while the entire AI industry's job count grew only 10.6%.
